Securing California's Clean Transportation Energy Future
Come Join the USCEI on Tuesday February 1st from noon to 1:30 in RTCC 350 for a special talk by Pat Perez, the Deputy Director for transportation energy and alternative fuel programs at the California Energy Commission, about Securing California's Clean Transportation Energy Future.
Pat is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the programs and resources of the Fuels and Transportation Division and ensuring activities in three offices are coordinated with other programs within the Energy Commission. Pat also advises Commissioners; Governor's Office, members of the legislature and other government agencies on matters related to transportation energy fuels and technologies.
During his 30 years at the Energy Commission, Mr. Perez has held a number of managerial positions, supervised and acted as policy lead and directed and managed a diverse technical staff covering a wide variety of energy and fuel supply programs covering climate change, renewable energy, conservation, liquefied natural gas, international energy market development, land use and energy emergency planning and response. Pat graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from the University of California Santa Barbara in 1979.
